Masonic certificates, 1886 - 1911
Scope and Contents
Three Masonic certificates for William Worth Sisson. The first, headed "Masonic Record," is completed in manuscript and gives the dates of his apprenticeship (March 4, 1886) and his passage to the degrees of Fellow Craft (March 25, 1886) and Master Mason (April 15, 1886). The second certificate, headed "Knights Templar" on the verso, tracks Sisson's progression through the ranks of Mark Master to Royal Arch Mason (September 14-28, 1886) and from Knight of the Red Cross (October 5, 1886) to Knight of Malta (September 16, 1890). The third certificate, printed on parchment, tracks Sisson's further progression through Masonic ranks, and is dated May 23, 1911.
