Letter from Silvanus Dauncey dated October 30, 1903 to Dublin newspaper editor W. F. Dennehy. The letter is on bespoke stationery for Dauncey and M. V. Leveaux's play "Whitewashing Julia," which was to be staged at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre on November 2, 1903. Dauncey encloses a newspaper clipping from the "Sheffield Independent" about the play's recent performance at the Lyceum Theatre in that city. In the letter, he notes that "is has been the aim of Mr. Leveaux and myself to keep the representatives as near the London level as possible, and, if you will pardon the suggestion, it is from this point of view that we wish to be represented to the public."
