Scope and Contents
First several pages contain correspondence, etc. relating to William R. Fish's printing business in New York City, about 1876-1902. After that are articles/image clippings related to theatre, most undated but dating roughly 1900-1960 [bulk are early 1900s].
Of note: 1888 calendar advertisement for Wm. R. Fish, Office of Photo-Gravure Co., 853 Broadway, New York, located near back of scrapbook.
Of note: handwritten page mounted on page 3: "Method of Transferring Designs File no. 608.156." [pencilled date at bottom is 1898]
Of note: Library of Congress, Copyright Office, certificate stating that William R. Fish had deposited a map with title "Education Map of the State of Massachusetts," dated May 22, 1876
Documentation indicates that this is part of the Fish Collection.
