Scope and Contents

Clippings are mainly Chicago theatre-related, with some New York City theatres represented. Theatres include Glickman's Theate, Powers Theatre, Grand Opera House, Illinois Theatre, Garrick Theatre, McVicker's Theatre, Studebaker Theatre, Madison Square Roof Garden, Herald Square Theatre, The Casino, Aerial Gardens over the New Amsterdam Theatre, Paradise Roof Gardens, The Orchestra Hall, The Auditorium, the Academy of Music, Ravinia Park Concert Pavilion, The Colliseum Garden, Bush Temple Theatre, the Majestic Theatre, Chicago Opera House.

Also includes some image clippings and newspaper clippings relating to the performances. Includes a number of clippings related to death of Theodore Thomas, Conductor of the Chicago Orchestra, death of actor Joseph Jefferson, and death of actor Henry Irving.
