Scope and Contents

Theatre-related programs and clippings. It is clear that some some are older and a few are newer (most are not dated). Most of the clippings are simply images rather than full articles, sources are most often not indicated.

Theatres represented include National Theatre (heavily represented), Library of Congress Chamber Music Auditorium, The Roadside Theatre.

Includes articles about deaths of Kate Mayhew (1944), Walter Kelly (1939), J. Arthur Young (1943), George E. Mack (1948); brief death notice for Agnes Tibbetts (1936).

Of note: Programs for: (William A. Albaugh presents) Ted Shawn and His Men Dancers (1935) and related clippings; (Dorothy Hodgkin Dorsey presents) La Argentina, Spain's Greatest Dancer (1935) and related clippings and (Columbia Concerts Corporation presents) La Argentina, Fifth American Tour; Pan American Union Program of Latin American Music by Mario Martinez Silveira and the United States Marine Band (probably 1935).
