Scope and Contents

Mounted theatre-related programs and clippings, most undated. Programs are all 1900. It is clear that some of the clippings are older but not dated. Most of the clippings are simply images rather than full articles. Sources are most often not indicated.

Programs for National Theatre, Columbia Theatre, New Grand, New National Theatre.

One newspaper article about suicide of Clara Bloodgood (1907). News pieces about death of John Phillip Sousa (1932), Arthur Pryor (1932); very small death notice for actor William Danforth (1941) (died in Syracuse, NY).

Represented actresses include Cecelia (Cissie) Loftus and Julia Marlowe. Also some clippings relating to John Philip Sousa.

Some items are numbered 68-72 and 281-283.
