Scope and Contents

Mounted concert- and theatre-related clippings, most undated. Most of the clippings are simply images rather than full articles, sources are most often not indicated. Death notices account for most recent dates.

Programs: "The Man Who Came To Dinner" at the Strand Theatre (Ithaca, New York), April 24, 1941; Cornell University Symphony Orchestra at Bailey Hall (Ithaca, NY), May 23, 1941; Gladys Swarthout and Lester Hodges concert at Bailey Hall (Ithaca, NY), November 4, 1941.

News pieces about deaths of Minnie Dupree (1947), Moss Hart (1961), Alexander Woollcott (1943), Effie Shannon (1954), Jack Whiting (1961), Richard Bishop (1956), Laura Crews (1942); small death announcements for Sydney Grant (1953), Bretaigne Windust (1960); hand-typed death notice for Arthur Griffin (1953).

Of note: News piece about death of George Louis Coleman (1946), assistant professor emeritus at Cornell University accompanied by a 7 1/4" x 9 1/4" black and white photograph of him.
