Scope and Contents

A souvenir booklet issued at Christmas to commemorate the Prince of Wales Theatre production of Edmond Audran's comic opera "La Poupée," which premiered on February 24, 1897. Title page gives "List of contributors: Marie Corelli, Andrian Ross, W. Courthope Forman; Phil May, Bernard Partridge, Dudley Hardy, Raven Hill, Lewis Baumer, Alfred Bryan, Alick F. Ritchie."

Illustrations include photo groupings of the cast and the stage settings.

Decorative pamphlet-stitched green bark textured wrappers; Prince of Wales's heraldic badge (plume of three ostrich feathers and royal coronet of alternate crosses and fleur-de-lys) stamped in gilt on circular red leather patch inset on cover. Tied with green string.
