This collection includes news clippings, photographs, and memorabilia from the estate of Dr. Leopold Eckler (1898 - 1984), longtime general manager of Ansco, a major photographic firm based in Binghamton, New York. A majority of the material concerns Eckler's time at the company, though some earlier and later materials are present.

Materials include two photograph albums, one of which is also partially a scrapbook, a tribute album to Eckler on his departure from Ansco in 1948, a large number of newspaper clippings documenting Eckler's career at Ansco and other events at the company and its associated firms, and technical drawings made by Eckler during his secondary education in Vienna.
