Writes from Petersburg, Virginia. Leroy writes that he is in good spirits and is engaging in building log cabins for camps about five miles from Petersburg. He also writes that he had recently returned from furlough and his family and friends at home were well. Leroy also mentions the Union victory at the Battle of Nashville. Envelope dated December 20, 1864.
