Scope and Contents
Two demand notes written by Maurice Leyden. Both are on the letterhead of the Monroe County Clerk's office. The first, dated December 8, 1888, is for $11.88. Leyden notes that the $11 is for the printing of a badge, and the $.88 is the balance after all bills were paid. The second note is dated July 15, 1890, and is for $2.60, with Leyden noting this is the balane left after all bills were paid.
