In a postscript he writes "to set an example you will find a lock(?) of my 'Wool.'" Envelope postmarked at Alexandria, Virginia, June 15, 1865. Addressed to "Miss Grace D. G[illson], Box 302, Rockland, Maine," part of the surname being torn away. Lock of hair is in a separate mylar envelope.
