Scope and Contents
Written from Vineland, Cumberland County, New Jersey. Opens "My Dear Friend Grace." Thanks her for her long letter. Describes a meeting with the man who had built the dance hall mentioned in his previous letter, and telling him he had not attended because he was afraid the hall would fall down. Describes seeing Celia and Lizzie, and having injured himself with an axe. Notes that there is a revival going on at the Presbyterian church. Envelope postmarked at Vineland, January 30. Addressed to "Grace D. Nichols, Rockland, Maine."
