Postcards
Scope and Contents
Six items:
- a picture postcard of Dublin with four small images: Custom House, Phoenixe Park, Sakville Street and Carlisle Bridge, and Shelbourne Hotel.
- a small blue postcard book titled Views along the Line of the Lookout Mountain Incline & Narrow Gauge R'y, Chattanooga, Tenn.
- picture postcard headed "Greetings from the Hawaiian Islands," postmarked at Honolulu, May 4, 1915 and addressed to "Mrs. Grace Robbins, 22 Main St., Rockland, Maine" by Bert. Message reads simply "a long way from home."
- picture postcard of "The Lakes in the Clouds, Rocky Mountains," dated at Seattle, October 6, 1920 and addressed to "Mrs. John Robbins, 22 South Main St., Rockland, Maine" by Winnie. Writes that she plans to return to Revere in the fall after all.
- picture postcard containing the song "Alice where art thou," without postmark, with brief inscription to Alice from A. E. R. wishing good health in the new year.
- birthday postcard, without postmark, inscribed "To Mother, With the very best wishes for many happy returns of your birthday. From Fred B." This is likely Fred B. Robbins, Grace's son.
