Biographical Note

Mary Adriance Minard was a homemaker and active Daughters of the American Revolution member in New York State.

Mary Adriance was born in 1855 in Missouri to William and Mary Elizabeth Adriance. She married in 1877 to Elias G. Minard. When the 1880 census was taken, Mary was living with her husband and in-laws in Plattekill, Ulster County, New York. Elias and Mary had a son, William Adriance Minard, in 1879, who died in 1882. Her daughter Alice Bond Minard was born in 1893. In 1900, Elias and Mary were living in Venice, Cayuga County, New York. In 1910, they were living in Poughkeepsie, New York. Mary died in Poughkeepsie, New York on September 9, 1945.
