Biographical Note
Elias G. Minard (1850 - 1935) was a minister, shop owner, and farmer in New York State.
Elias G. Minard was born in March 1850 to Hiram and Mary R. Minard, farmers in Plattekill, Ulster County, New York. He married in 1877 to Mary E. Adriance. When the 1880 census was taken, Elias was working as a Nurseryman, living with his parents and wife. Elias and Mary had a son, William Adriance Minard, in 1879, who died in 1882. His daughter Alice Bond Minard was born in 1893. In 1900, Elias and Mary were living in Venice, Cayuga County, New York and he was listed as a Minister. In 1910, Elias G. Minard was listed a President of a store in Poughkeepsie, New York. By the 1920 census, Elias was 69 years old and had retired. He died on December 28, 1935 in Poughkeepsie, New York, USA.
