Scope and Contents
The Binghamton University subject file collection is a reference collection of materials relating to and about academic programs, buildings, events, and organizations affiliated with Binghamton University. The collection includes secondary sources such as news clippings. It also includes reports, statistical data, press releases, histories of academic departments, organization charts, pamphlets, and other miscellaneous items. A subject might be represented by one item or several folders.

Materials in this collection have been thoroughly reviewed for possible restrictions. Some folders in the collection have been designated as restricted, and these designations can be found in the title information for those folders in this finding aid. All of these restrictions have been placed because job applicant materials and personell evaluations are present. All of the restrictions placed on this collection are due to privacy concerns and/or FERPA law. Access to redacted documents may be granted upon request.
