In approximately 2004, Mazrui backed up his computer files onto floppy disks. These files included his correspondence from 2001-2004 and his articles and speeches from 1978-2004.

Conditions Governing Access
In the digital files, disk 24 contains letters of recommendation and is therefore restricted. Disk 38 contains a file folder called AlIS PERSONAL which also contains restricted materials. The rest of the collection has not yet been fully reviewed for access and may contain additional restricted materials. Because staff will need to review materials for restrictions before providing access, researchers should email speccoll@binghamton.edu about the collection well ahead of any research visit.
