Digital files [CONTAINS RESTRICTIONS], 1978 - 2008
Scope and Contents
Mazrui’s digital files are largely made up of drafts of his articles, speeches, and books. In approximately 2004, Mazrui backed up his computer files onto floppy disks. These files included his correspondence from 2001-2004 and his articles and speeches from 1978-2004.
Other digital files include correspondence, newsletters, CVs, award and publication lists, lecture notes, exam questions and course syllabi, letters of recommendation written by Mazrui, preparation for the Gates-Mazrui debate in 2003, minutes from committees (e.g. the Personnel Committee), and short biographical notes for publications. The digital files appear to have been largely maintained by Mazrui's secretary (identified as Anna Marie or AMP).
