Outgoing, 1984 - 1990
Scope and Contents
This sub-series contains some of Peacock's professional correspondence related to her literary career. Peacock largely kept her correspondence with subject-related files, e.g. correspondence about a book was kept with the files about that book. Beacuse of this, literary correspondence can be found throughout series 1 and 2, and this series is largely made up of files that were not identified with a particular book project or literary activity. Similarly, the line between literary and personal correspondence can be blurry, as Peacock othen made friends with other writers and publishers, so some literary correspondence may be found in the personal correspondence series and vice versa. Files in this series were often labelled as work related by Peacock, but some without clear labels were reviewed by archivists who determined the majority of the files were professional in nature.
