This sub-series contains Peacock's personal correspondence with family and friends.

The line between literary and personal correspondence can be blurry, as Peacock othen made friends with other writers and publishers, so some literary correspondence may be found in the personal correspondence sub-series and vice versa. Files in this series were often labelled as personal by Peacock, but some without clear labels were reviewed by archivists who determined the majority of the files were personal in nature.
