Biographical / Historical
Note by Molly Peacock, written in 2022: "Pink + Orange Paisley Day Glo Jumpsuit. I sewed this jumpsuit from a Simplicity pattern and wore it when I cut my hair short in Harpur College 1967. Art Spiegelman was appalled and said, nasally, 'What made you cut your hair?!?!?' Independence is the answer. There is a photo in the Collection that shows me in this dress. I wore it when Robert Bly and Galway Kinnell came to read. "
