Historical Note

Note by Molly Peacock, written in 2022: "Black velvet medieval-style jacket and green velvet vest. Missing: green velvet skirt and black velvet pants. I designed this outfit what was sewn by Ann Santoro of London, Ontario, for events between 1994-2003. I wore the flared medieval-style jacket for events/readings for Paradise Piece by Piece, for Original Love, for Cornucopia. I designed the piping, the zipper, the flared skirt-like jacket and this allowed me to travel from podium to podium as I gave readings and presentations. I also always wore it on Maundy Thursday as Poet-in-Residence for the Cathedral."
