This accession was received from L-3, the successor to the Link-Hughes company. It documents the history of Link's companies and contains patent files, product manuals, the working files of P.S. Hopkins, correspondence, financial records, and files related to the Sparks-Withington contract.

This accession was received from the L-3 corporation on March 20, 2003.
Processing Information
In 2026, this accession was processed by Madison White, Archival Processing Manager, and Vicki Ruan and Christina Forte, Undergraduate Assistants. Most of the collection was simply weeded of duplicates and described. Where a group of material was obviously related, it was described as a distinct sub-series. Most material was left in the order it was recieved from L3.
The technical drawings and patent certificates were processed in more detail. For the technical drawings, material was divided by size, and then put in number order. For patent certificates, material was rehoused, divided by country, and then placed in patent number order.
