This series contains scene and set designs. The theatrical works associated with these works is often unknown. Many of the works in this series appear to be Neher’s classic ‘sketches,’ referring to paintings he made during the planning and rehearsals of plays that were meant to capture the aesthetic of the production, as well as plan out the basics of set, costume design, and blocking without producing technical sketches. Very few of the works have any technical information such as size or material specifications.
