This collection includes periodicals and other publications produced by Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC), as well as related publications and realia. There are long runs of the GMHC newsletters The Volunteer (1987 - 1994) and Treatment Issues (1987 - 2005) and a large number of GMHC brochures.

This material was collected as part of a broader project related to the work of GMHC, the New York Public Library's GMHC Stories collection.

These materials were given to Sean Massey, Associate Professor of Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies at Binghamton University by GMHC volunteers James M. Holmes, Hal J. Moskowitz, Leslie Fay Pomerantz, Tom Weber, and Gerald Wentland as part of a broader project related to the work of GMHC, the New York Public Library's GMHC Stories collection.

Sean Massey donated the materials to Binghamton University Libraries Special Collections in March 2025.
