Abstract The collection contains correspondence, bills, receipts, broadsides, and business advertisements pertaining to Martin Bros. Circus, located in Castle Creek, NY. The circus was owned and operated by Clayton Hawkes and Carroll Miller. Its tent shows toured upstate New York beginning in the 1930s, with the company's winter quarters in Castle Creek. Overview

These items were primarily assembled between 1962 and 1995 by members of the Binghamton University Theatre Department. The main focus of this collection is theater but there are also materials relating to motion pictures, music and dance. Included are scrapbooks, programs, photographs, and ephemera such as tickets and broadsides.
