Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection contains administrative files related to the Jackson State College Project, including grant applications, reports, assesments of students and of the program, correspondence with faculty, budgets, news clippings, and news releases. While there is some material in the collection about the Jackson State College's curriculum and course offerings, most of the collection is documented from the perspective of Harpur College administrators and faculty. The collection includes files related to Harpur's response to the killing of several protesting Jackson State students.
