Scope and Contents
This series contains the diaries of Celia Smith Kelm written between 1920 and 1966. Celia wrote about her everyday life, relationships with family and friends, and local and national events of the day.
This series also contains loose papers, lists, newspaper clippings, a letter, and cards that were placed inside the diaries. These items are now inside folders labeled with the year of the diary they were found.

Biographical / Historical
War is mentioned in the margins of the diary and in entries. Roy (Rena's husband) registers for the war department. Celia writes about sugar and gas rationing, and not being able to buy tires or new cars.
