This subseries documents Kenneth Lindsay’s activities in the MFAA, his participation in the documentary film The Rape of Europa and the U. S. government’s acknowledgement of the Monuments Men, and his long-term interest in the 202 pieces of European art that were sent by the U.S. military to the National Gallery of Art in 1945. Included materials consist of newspaper clippings about stolen art and newsletters about the Monuments Men, letters between Richard Berge and Lindsay, and photographs of Lindsay in the army.
