First Slovak Women's Union 411 Branch ribbon pin (Endicott), April 30, 1918
Scope and Contents
Double-sided ribbon pin of the First Slovak Women's Union 411 Branch, founded in Endicott on April 30, 1918; the ribbon likely dates to about that time. The pin features the insignia of the Union at center, with "Číslo 411 [Number 411]" at the sides. The ribbon, purple on one side and black on the other, features an image of the Virgin Mary at center, with text in Slovak above and below. The text above identifies Mary; the text below gives the lodge's name, location, branch number, and founding date. Flexible metal strands (like epaulettes) are hung at the bottom of the ribbon.
Mark Kulikowski's documentation for this object is located in Box 51.
