Scope and Contents
Chromolithographic trade card, with image of a men dressed in a suit looking at a mannequin. Reads at foot of recto "Abel Bennett & Co., Fashionable Clothiers | Hotel Bennett Block, Binghamton, N. Y." Verso has bespoke advertising text headed "Lost" which reads "A small boy about the size of a man, blind in his left ear, barefooted with his father's boots on, had an empty bag on his back which contained three railroad tunnels and a bundle of bungholes; he wore a mutton chopped overcoat with a bean-soup lining, is cross-eyed in his right hand, squints with his toes, and wears his hair curly; when last seen was at the gas house wheeling out smoke, to earn some money go to go Abel Bennett & Co's to purchase a new suit of clothes, as they have the largest and best assortment and make the lowest prices."
