Scope and Contents
Contracts, U. S. Military (1937-1941) consists of U.S. Army and U.S. Navy contracts for trainers, along with pertinent correspondence. The subseries contains the contractor's copies of the contracts. The incoming correspondence is mostly originals and the outgoing correspondence consists mostly of carbon copies. The documents are arranged chronologically.
Contracts, Walsh-Healey Labor Act (1937-1938) consists of original contract documents for trainers and the correspondence pertaining to the elimination of the stipulations of the Walsh-Healey Labor Act from contract NOs58968. The correspondence in this subseries is primarily carbon copies.
Contracts, U.S. Civilian (1935-1941) consists of original purchase orders for trainers from U.S. airlines and aviation schools. The purchase orders in this subseries are arranged alphabetically by airline, or school and, thereunder, chronologically. There is a carbon copy of one contract in this subseries.

Contracts, Foreign Civilian (1937-1941) consists of original purchase orders for trainers from foreign airlines. The documents in this subseries are arranged alphabetically by airline, or purchasing agent and, thereunder, chronologically.
