Scope and Contents Letter from Silvanus Dauncey dated October 30, 1903 to Dublin newspaper editor W. F. Dennehy. The letter is on bespoke stationery for Dauncey and M. V. Leveaux's play "Whitewashing Julia," which was to be staged at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre on November 2, 1903. Dauncey encloses a newspaper clipping from the "Sheffield Independent" about the play's recent performance at the Lyceum Theatre in that city. At the end of the text is written "Revised by F. Lizzie Peirce." This is perhaps copied out of a published volume in which the play appeared.
