Manuscript account of a sailboat trip from Syracuse to Ticonderoga, NY via the Oswego Canal, Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River, and Lake Champlain. Written by Charles A. Ford, who took the trip in August 1885 with his friend Tom Rushton. The narrative covers the period from August 7 through August 24; on a subsequent page is "the list of expenses copied from the Pilots account book December 6, 1898."
